Join the Oklahoma Alliance for Geographic Education (OKAGE) for a two-day Summer Institute on how to use the Geo-Inquiry process to understand environmental conservation in Oklahoma. The first day of this institute will include a field experience in the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge, and the second day will consist of a classroom component where participants will learn about the Geo-Inquiry process and how to develop their own Geo-Inquiry projects and lesson plans.

This workshop is geared towards educators in the Oklahoma City Metropolitan area, but educators across the state of Oklahoma are welcome to apply. Participants who complete the workshop will receive sixteen (16) hours of professional development credit and a $100.00 stipend.* Lodging and meals will be provided during the institute and transportation will be provided to and from the field trip site. However, participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from Norman, OK prior to leaving for the field trip on Monday, June 28th, and prior to the in-class component at the University of Oklahoma on Tuesday, June 29th. OKAGE will reimburse participants for mileage to and from Norman, OK.
Register HERE by Friday, June 4th. A $25.00 deposit is required at the time of registration but will be refunded upon completion of the workshop. Deposits will also be refunded if registration is canceled by Wednesday, June 9th.
*Participants must attend the full two days to be eligible for the stipend.
